I first began my journey as a youth leader at my church; I was also an active foster parent.  In doing this, it was my goal to help children and teens heal and show them stability.  Most importantly, I wanted to teach them life lessons that last a lifetime.  Being a foster parent was hard yet rewarding; this feeling sparked a flame in my life.  I later branched out and became a music teacher at Roseland Christian School.  I taught for 13 years and had a 55-voice award winning children’s choir.  Unfortunately, the school fell into hardship and had to close.  I wanted to continue my passion of working with children; so, I decided to open a home day care.    

I’ve served communities’ children for majority of my life.  I’ve been a mentor to dozens and dozens of children throughout their learning years into their adult lives.  The growth and development of children are imperative to me, and I never took it lightly. We are a Christian based care facility; with a quality, loving, and safe environment for our children’s school and future success.  Finding a provider who sees you as a partner is important.  Strong relationships between all the people important to the children, help children grow and learn.  That’s what we provide here at Mini Melodies Child Care Academy.
